History
Worklinks commenced in 1997 (under the name of Worklinks Group - Brisbane North West). The focus in that year was the coordination of work experience placements for four schools in Brisbane's north-west suburbs. The Management Committee was established in the second half of that year, with Don Fischle, Worklinks' current President, joining the inaugural committee at that time. In 1997 a total of 103 students were placed into work experience through the work of two casual staff members.
The current Chief Executive Officer of Worklinks, Jan Robinson, was appointed on a casual basis in 1998 as the Worklinks coordinator. The organisation became incorporated in July 1998 and changed its name in December 2002 in recognition of the fact that our programmes and services were now offered beyond the Brisbane North West boundaries.
The organisation has progressively grown since its humble beginnings - to now having in excess of 30 equivalent full time staff, operating from 10 different venues across an area stretching from Caboolture, Redcliffe, Geebung, Lawnton, Mitchelton, Ipswich, Fernvale, Beenleigh and Beaudesert.
