Skilling Queenslanders for Work Initiative - Work Connections Programme
Funded by the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations, this programme assists unemployed people over the age of 18 to gain employment by training participants with the necessary skills of resume writing, job search skills and interview techniques. Work experience is also an important component of the programme where participants gain "hands on" experience which assists in securing employment. Programmes for 2008 are: Clerical/Administration, Retail, Aged Care and construction/Landscaping.Read more...
Get Set for Work Programme
Funded by the Queensland Department of Employment and Industrial Relations, this programme is for 15-17 year olds who are unemployed and have left school prior to completing Year 12. A mix of job search training, work readiness training, Year 10 equivalent training and unpaid work experience assist participants to gain employment.Read more...
Job Placement Agency
Employers can register all job vacancies with Worklinks who offer a quality, no-fee recruitment service for employers. This programme is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.Read more...
Grange Community Café
Worklinks operate the Grange Community Cafe under licence from the Brisbane City Council. The opportunity is provided for work experience to students, unemployed youth and mature-aged participants to better their chances of obtaining employment/traineeship (including school-based traineeships) in the hospitality industry.Read more...
Local Community Partnerships
Funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, the programme provides a facilitation role working with schools, parents and young people to help ensure the provision of effective and appropriate careers advice for young people. In addition, through LCP, Worklinks organises structured workplace learning for a large number of secondary school students, as well as involving industry representatives in school-based projects.Read more...
Youth Pathways Programme
This programme is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. Worklinks has the tender to run Youth Pathways at the following locations Brisbane North, Caboolture and Redcliffe. Participants include young people at risk of disengaging from school prior to completing year 12 and early school leavers.Read more...
Mentoring Programme
Worklinks has the contract to run mentoring projects in Sunshine Coast South, Brisbane Central and West and Brisbane North education regions. These programmes are funded by the Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts. The target group is 15-17 year olds at risk of disengaging from school.
